Chic Renegade Fashion Blog // Zara Suit Pants, Lapel-less Blazer by T.O.V., Silver Platform Sandals by Bebe
This look was inspired the fashion of my days working in corporate America. I used to be an Institutional Bond Trader and I pretty much wore a suit everyday. I live on the west coast and I had to work market hours, which meant I was at work at 4:30am everyday!!! I would only by my suits from Zara because it was difficult for me to find pants that were long enough for me but weren’t expensive. I could never get pants at Express, Bebe, or Banana Republic because they were always too short. Banana sold “Long” length pants online but I’d rather buy my suits in person.
I would sometimes wish that I could combine the clean look of a nice p[ant suit with something funky and flirty like say, a cropped top. But of course I couldn't do that. Although, there were no rules against wearing bright lipstick, that was something that I would never do on a trading desk. When you work around a bunch of men, the last think you want to do is draw their attention away from the work that you are doing, so I always kept it simple with a nude lip. Now that I can wear whatever fashion what I want, I may wear this out on a date with my guy just to switch it up a little.
